International Institute of Coaching Studies was an answer to my prayers. I have searched for many years for “who I am” upon discovering that there was such a thing as a “life coach” I felt so happy and so complete knowing that there was a place for me and my skills on this earth. The next thing for me to do within my search was to find a place that could take my skills to the next level, teach me the fundamentals and even more than that would be great. I searched many schools through websites, referrals and even guess work and nothing really felt like a place that answered the questions that I needed answered in order to be as proficient and effective as I chose to be. When I felt I could not search any longer, I did one last search and found IICS. There before me was a picture of that beautiful Coach Mackenzie Pearce with a look in her eye that resembled the flair that I had for my new found path. I looked through the website and it all made sense, I would ask a question in my head and it would be the next question answered. I was excited and I immediately wrote her, now it was about 1am and I expected no response for days probably-within 15 minutes I heard back from her—wow I thought this is feeling even more familiar. I signed up and started receiving my material in no time at all.
I have to say that throughout life we face many disappointments in not only others but also in ourselves so I admit that I was hesitant that this may not be everything that I thought it would be. I have to say that this program is what I thought it would be and so very much more. I am a very high energy person but I have to admit there again that the resources and information keep me running- and I love that. The program itself is easy to follow with an awesome support team too but I am telling you that you that I was afraid that once I started the program that that would be it-I would be handed material, I would take a test and move on. That is not the case, I have learned so very much and I continue to learn tons and tons more, I have developed relationships that I can keep with me,, not only in the people but also in the education, Coach Mackenzie is not gonna just throw you out there—she is right there by you the whole time and there after.

“Why should someone register for this program as opposed to all the others out there?
I chose to register with CANA as it is a school in North America, and I am Canadian! The outline of the course looked to entail everything I was searching for in becoming a life coach. I have only been in the program for a couple of weeks, but am thoroughly enjoying it and loving the change it has on my attitude, personal inspiration, and my life so far. It was also extremely appealing to me that I could become internationally certified in three different niche’s in four months.
What are you learning or have learned so far? I am learning the importance of “me” time, to focus on the “what” and not the “how” of dreams and goals. To lead by example, to inspire by example, and I love my daily dose of aha moments. For the first time, I can’t wait to read and study another lesson. The lessons we are learning are applied to our own lives first, and then we may better ourselves to help others.
What is the best part about CANA?
Having a mentor who is a woman of her word. I have not completed a course yet, so I cannot comment on the overall experience. I am very impressed so far. Mackenzie will bend over backwards for you so you may achieve your goals and begin your life the way you were meant to live it.
